First Lady Laura Bush even did a bit of Running Man during a March 2007 event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. 2008 saw the re-release of Something Good, the video is highly based in the 80's during the running man craze and features many people getting up and dancing to the song doing the running man.

This song is often played at dance clubs, parties, skating rinks and weddings in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. The Cha Cha Slide is also a dance created by Chicago's DJ Casper, (aka Mr. C). Cha Cha Slide is a line dance with called instructions. DJ Casper developed the Cha Cha Slide in 1996 for Bally Total Fitness; it became a hit with gym members, and the dance's popularity prompted Mr. C to record Cha-Cha Slide: The Original Slide Album. It was released on September 19, 2000. The following year, the dance caught on around Canada and the USA, where urban contemporary radio stations (and later mobile DJs), particularly in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Arkansas, Memphis, and Detroit.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time: The Dancing Banana (a.k.a. Peanut Butter Jelly) is a popular emoticon. By late 2001, the banana was already being used on several forums as a standard emoticon. Most of these forums would replace the typed text "" with the graphical image. As the popularity of the banana grew, hundreds of variations of the image had been created for forums or other purposes. These new images typically would have to be either uploaded or linked to, instead of replacing text. There is also a dancing pickle, carrot, apple, penis, onion, taco, broccoli, Sonic the Hedgehog, Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, Megaman, Coach Z, and padlock ("lock this topic"), among many others. The Dancing Banana soon made its way to television shows and began to appear as an icon in American Pop Culture.
