The Best Movie Songs of the 1990s
What are the best songs found on movie soundtracks from 1990 until 1999?
The 90s issued in an era of blockbuster special effects, but did little as far changing the current music trend. Many of the blockbuster
movies of its era had at least one popular mainstream hit associated with it. A few minor exceptions to this, such as Jurassic Park
still managed to create a legendary score for the film.
Disney managed to land back in the top ten with some of its movies beginning with The Little Mermaid, and then Beauty and the
Beast, and The Lion King. Although their films always featured spectacular music, they began a new trend of having
popular artists sing one or more of the main songs of the film and releasing it as a single. This became lucrative for Disney as well as
Christina Aguilera--she got her second big break singing "Reflections" on the Mulan CD (her first break came from being on
The Mickey Mouse Show.
We've selected some of the best songs from these soundtracks and listed them here. For your convenience, we have included links to the sheet music on Sheetmusicplus.com as well as the CD on Amazon.com whenever available. If you are

Rhapsody provides both music subscriptions as well as individual mp3s for sale in WMA format and iTunes only provides MPEG-4 audio files for sale. However, Amazon does offer mp3s that are compatible
with both Windows Media Player and iTunes. For more information about where to purchase music online, we provide it on
